Carla Munch-Miranda

About

A Head Golf Professional and co-owner of Cambridge Golf Club, Carla has been instrumental in implementing development golf programs at Cambridge GC for all levels. Certified at the CDC level, Carla is the Head Coach of the NJGDC at Cambridge Golf Club and has created the Cambridge Cobras Junior Golf Team. She was voted the 2006 PGA of Ontario Assistant Professional of the year and earned the 2011 Golf Ontario Coach of the Year – Development Award.

Carla became the first Women’s Golf Coach at the University of Waterloo in 2004 and has created one of the country’s most competitive golf programs. She earned the 2007 University of Waterloo Coach of the Year, and the 2007 & 2008 OUA Women’s Golf Coach of the Year.

Carla is a highly recognized and accomplished coach who was appointed as a Team Canada Coach at the FISU World University Games in countries such as South Africa (2008), Spain (2010), China (2011), Switzerland (2014) and Italy in 2022. She was named as an Assistant Coach for Team Ontario at the 2013 Canada Summer Games and Head Coach at the 2017 Canada Summer Games in Winnipeg and in 2022 in Niagara Falls.

In May 2019, Carla moved into the role of President of the Golf Coaches Association of Canada. The purpose of the Association is to promote, educate, provide service to, and stimulate interest in the game of golf at the post-secondary level in Canada.
Carla is married with 2 sons and most recently was awarded as the 2019 PGA of Ontario Coach of the Year and PGA of Canada's Ben Kern Coach of the Year Award.
