Professional Recognition Program Overview & Points Allocation
OVERVIEW
The PGA of Ontario Professional Recognition Program (PRP) recognizes individual PGA Members who make a significant contribution to the Association and the overall well-being of fellow members. This point-driven program is based on being active within the industry through various forms of professional development, education, industry contributions, community involvement, volunteerism, and tournament play.
SPECIFICS
Individual PGA Professionals are recognized for:
- Attending Zone Meetings
- Volunteer Service
- Participation in Association Functions
- Participation in Tournaments
- Contribution to the success of Association Programs
- Response to Program Initiatives
- Non-PGA Industry training, continuing education, professional development
PROFESSIONAL RECOGNITION PROGRAM CATEGORIES
Points are earned for participation in five different categories. Those categories are:
- PGA of Ontario Programs
- PGA Partner Or External Programs
- Member Recognition Programs
- Zone Tournaments
- Service & Volunteerism
In an effort to reward versatility and in-person engagement, we have made the following adjustments to this year’s Professional Recognition Program:
• To be recognized in the Top 100 you must earn points in at least two of the five categories
• To be recognized in the Top 25 you must earn points in at least three different categories
• New point values for in-person vs online engagement
• The deadline to submit and earn PRP points is October 14th

An online form has been created for members to submit a request for points to the PGA office for participation in a PGA Partner Program and/or additional education session. Members are encouraged to submit the online form within seven days of completion of eligible events.
To submit a request for points, please complete this form, then click here to submit your supporting documentation. Supporting documentation may consist of proof of registration, (letter or email) certificate of participation or completion.
The Professional Recognition Program is a fluid point system and changes may be made to categories and their points as we see fit.
