Twins often have a close bond; the Tobin Twins from Cape Breton are no different.
It has been a very exciting 2021 for our association and our members throughout the country. The topic of this past year's Tee Talks Live Digital Series was Resilience, which we all have shown throughout the past six months as we have successfully navigated the uncertainties of the pandemic and safely re-opened our golf facilities across the country.
Who could have predicted that in 2021, during a major global pandemic, a South African Golf Pro living and working in Ontario would be crowned Ontario’s PGA Champion?
It was announced today that the PGA Head Professional Championship of Canada presented by Callaway Golf has a date finalized on Canadian soil, as the association looks forward to hosting the top Head Professionals, Executive Professionals, Head Teaching Professionals and Master Professionals in the country at Lookout Point Country Club in Fonthill, Ontario.
The Ontario Government has announced that the province would be moving to Step Three of its Roadmap to Reopen at 12:01 am on Friday, July 16th.
They might be young but they sure can play. That was the mantra heading into Tuesday’s Pro Junior event at Wooden Sticks Golf Course.
Now in its sixth year of operations, the RBC PGA Scramble is off to the most successful start in program history with over 160 local qualifiers taking place from coast-to-coast. Registrations are on pace for an all-time high as the 11 regional finals draw near. Recent changes made, such as many qualifiers sending teams off in eightsomes, have made a positive impact on the integrity of the program.
The natural path for Mandeo Singh Pathania would have been to join the Indian Army and serve the country like his war-hero father. However, at just 13-years old, the Indian-born Pathania decided to take a left instead of a right – which has led to a record-setting golf career.
The PGA of Ontario Award Program recognizes outstanding members for their achievements throughout the season and their career, as well as for their contributions to the Association and their impact on the game of Golf.
