Winners will be celebrated at Canada Night in January

In a first-of-its kind move, the PGA of Canada announced on Tuesday morning that it has received approval from the Board of Directors to adjust the Playing Ability Test (PAT) target scores to allow for more equitable access for people with different abilities.

Carding eight birdies on Monday at the PGA Head Professional Championship of Canada presented by Callaway Golf and supported by G&G Brands, 2017’s champion, John Cochrane, takes a one-stroke lead into the second round over Fairview Mountain Head Professional Robert Tadey and Sirocco Golf Club Head Professional Craig Gibson.

The PGA Head Professional Championship of Canada presented by Callaway Golf and supported by G&G Brands is slated for this week in Phoenix, Arizona, where 82 of the top Head Professionals, Executive Professionals, Head Teaching Professionals and Master Professionals in the country will head to Verrado Golf Club, looking to be crowned as the final PGA of Canada National Champion of the season. Our friends at Golf Away Tours are also on site to help support the PGA of Canada members in the field.
