Chapter Four-ball
About the Chapter Four-Ball Championship:
Starting with up to 64 teams of two, only four teams make it to the end!
The PGA of Ontario Chapter Four-Ball is a season-long match play championship contesting members from four chapters of the Ontario Zone (North, South, East, and West) which are blended from the eight regional PGA of Ontario Chapters. Players making up each team must be from the same Chapter.
Teams are responsible for arranging their own matches to be played by pre-set bracket dates communicated at the start of the season. Teams are also responsible for reporting results to the PGA of Ontario staff, who manage the brackets in Golf Genius throughout the season, which runs from June to September.
Each Chapter bracket consists of a maximum of 16 teams, totaling up to 128 players. Each Chapter bracket plays down until there is only one team remaining in each chapter. Once the final four teams are determined, they are invited to compete in the semi-finals and finals where our Chapter Four-Ball Champions are crowned.

2024 Finals Recap:
On September 24th, 2024, at Maple Downs Golf & Country Club, the semi-finals featured:
- James Seymour & Michael Resciniti (East Chapter) vs. Jacob Peterson & Quinn Godfrey (West Chapter)
- Jack Alward & Marcus Roth (North Chapter) vs. Chris Wilson & David Byrne (South Chapter)
Seymour & Resciniti triumphed over Peterson & Godfrey 3&2, while Wilson & Byrne defeated Alward & Roth 5&4. In the consolation finals, Peterson & Godfrey secured the victory against Alward & Roth 3&2.
The finals showcased a thrilling showdown between East and South Chapter finalists where Seymour & Resciniti claimed the championship title by defeating Wilson & Byrne, finishing the season undefeated!
This marked Resciniti’s third time winning the Chapter Four-Ball Championship, and Seymour’s second title for the 2024 season (Seymour won the PGA of Ontario’s flagship Zone Championship in July at the Barrie Country Club.)
This event is not only a competitive highlight but also a great networking and social opportunity for all players involved. We look forward to another exciting season next year featuring the best teams across the Ontario Zone!
