2024 Women's Championship Recap
An ACE on 18 to win the whole championship? Why not?!
Sarah Boyce captured the 2024 PGA of Ontario Women’s Championship title with an incredible hole-in-one on 18, finishing with a score of 71, 1-under par.
The event, held on Monday, September 9th at the Ladies’ Golf Club of Toronto, was thrilling to the very end.
Sadie Dewinton-Davies and Bo Park, who were playing partners, led the championship with even par 72 scores. With only two groups left to finish, the uncertainty was rising, recalling last year's dramatic 11-hole playoff. But then, a thrilling twist unfolded. Referee, Paul Byrne, informed us of a hole-in-one on 18. We eagerly anticipated whether this would break the tie.
Sarah Boyce approached the scoring table with a big smile, exclaiming, “I just canned it on 18!”. Her spectacular hole-in-one not only broke the tie but secured her victory with a final score of 71, 1-under par.
Kayla Burke joined Park and Dewinton-Davies in a tie for second.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Ladies’ Golf Club of Toronto and their exceptional staff for hosting such a memorable event.
A massive shoutout to our partners at LEVELWEAR, who gifted PGA-branded merchandise to the players.
Thanks to Kristen Bunn from Fore Chicks for providing stylish polos to all our players!
Finally, thank you to our partners at Dormie Workshop for their custom PGA-branded head covers, which delighted all the participants as we got to surprise them with this gift at the scoring table.
What a story for Sarah Boyce, who claimed the championship title with an unforgettable hole-in-one, also breaking her 14-year “ace” drought!
