In a display of exceptional talent and determination, G.W. King clinched the Spring Champion title with remarkable finesse. His outstanding performance at Tangle Creek included setting a new course record carding 9-under (63) during the first round of the Spring Championship.
Speaking with G.W. post-round, he told us this score tied his personal best as well.
“It was a special couple of days for me. I haven’t played great all Spring, so to play this well was surprising but definitely welcome”, said King.
Meanwhile, Alan McLean reaffirmed his dominance in the Senior Spring division, successfully defending his title for the second consecutive year. His steady and composed play throughout the tournament showcased his mastery of the game and earned him well-deserved applause.
“All in all, I am very happy with my game, I hit 17 out of 18 greens, in fact, I hit 18, just my ball rolled off”, exclaimed Alan in a post-tournament interview.
