Moser Captures the Assistants Spring

(Listowel, Ont., May 22nd) Coming off an extremely hot Victoria Day long weekend, the 2012 Mobile One Assistants Spring Championship started with cold single digit temperatures in the North Perth region.

The field consisting of 70 players started in the fog at 7:30 AM for the one day shoot out at the Listowel Golf Club.

The day eventually turned warm and sunny, but it never got as hot as Ben Moser of the Golf Performance Centre at Whistle Bear. Moser shot a 5 under par 67 to capture this years title by one over Yong Woo (Justin) Kim of Hidden Lake and his first win as a PGA of Ontario Candidate for Membership.

"I just stayed in the moment, played shot by shot and went for pins when I knew and was confident in doing so." said Moser about his strategy. Moser also took home the long drive title for the day with a 376 yard bomb, that he jokingly described as "high in the face, but that's the new sweet spot anyway"
