Ontario PGA Assistants' Championship Names Golf Trends & Eaton Corp as Title Sponsors

(Pickering, Ont., - April 11, 2011)
- The Ontario PGA is pleased to announce that Golf Trends along with Eaton Corp., the distributors of Golf Pride Golf Grips, will become the title sponsor of the Ontario PGA Assistants' Championship. Golf Trends, a long time supporter of the Ontario PGA, has agreed to a multiyear deal which will see them support the future leaders of our game through 2012.
"Golf Trends has been a great supporter of our Association for many years and we're happy to have them involved with the Assistants'," said Ontario PGA President, Dustin Kerr-Taylor. "The Assistants' are the future of the game and industry and I know Golf Trends realizes that and intends to make a difference with that group," added Kerr-Taylor.

Since 1954 the Ontario PGA Assistants' Championship has been contested across the province and has a long list of esteemed winners. That list includes Canadian Golf Hall of Famers, Moe Norman, George Knudson and Bob Panasik. In addition, two Ontario Golf Hall of Famers, Jerry Anderson and Irv Lightstone have their names etched on the Earl Morris Trophy.
"Golf Trends and Eaton Corp. (maker of Golf Pride grips) look forward to partnering with this prestigious event and to working together with the Assistant Professionals of Ontario," said Don Heazel of Golf Trends. "We recognize the hard work that is done daily by this dedicated group and we hope to make this a memorable event, as our way to say Thank you."
