Callowhill & McAleavey Partner to Win
Loft 8° Ontario PGA Assistants' Team Championship

(Whitevale, Ont., May 3, 2011) -  Alf Callowhill (The Clublink Academy at Glen Abbey) and  Ciaran McAleavey (Glen Abbey Golf Club) were able to secure the 2011 Loft 8° Assistants' Team Championship win at Whitevale Golf Club. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate for the 56 teams that played on Tuesday, but despite the weather many great scores were seen and the course was in pristine condition.

"We are both excited to start the year with a win," said Alf Callowhill. "There are a lot of really strong players in the Ontario PGA so every event is a good challenge. The team event is a blast to play in - Ciaran's high five needs a little work but we can work on that for next year," continued Callowhill.
"It feels great to have won the event on Tuesday," said Ciaran McAleavey. "I found that it is a very fun and stress free start to the year to play scramble golf with a partner and I was lucky enough that Alf has a strong back!" continued McAleavey.

The Ontario PGA would like to thank Loft 8° for their support and contribution to the success of the 2011 Assistants' Team Championship. For information about Loft 8° and to view their 2011 catalogue, please visit their website at:
