SkyCaddie Comes on Board as Presenting Sponsor of Head Professional Birdie Shoot-Out

(Pickering, Ont., - June 22, 2010) – SkyCaddie, a long time supporter of Golf Professionals’ both in Canada and the United States, has agreed to come on board as the presenting sponsor of the Head Professional Birdie Shoot-out.  SkyCaddie joins adidas Eyewear in sponsoring the $15,000 birdie shoot-out which pays Head Professionals based on the number of birdies each individual makes.

“SkyCaddie sponsors almost every PGA in the world and we are happy to be part of that prestigious group,” said Ontario PGA President, Dustin Kerr-Taylor. “Having SkyCaddie on board for this unique event is a no brainer for both the Ontario PGA and SkyCaddie,” added Kerr-Taylor.

The Birdie Shootout is open to all Canadian PGA Head Professionals in Ontario and will be played on August 30, 2010. Every birdie a Head Professional makes will entitle he or she to a portion of the $15,000 purse. The purse will be will be divided up evenly based on the number of birdies that are made on the day. An additional $1,000 will be available for the Head Professional who makes the most birdies for the day.

Played at the brand new Turnberry Golf Club in Brampton Ontario, the Birdie Shoot-out will have a field of 72 Head Professionals. Turnberry is a par 56 layout designed by Doug Carrick's Golf Course Architecture firm and owned by the same people who built the venerable Eagle's Nest Golf Club just north of Toronto.
