ACTON, ON - Alberta, Ontario, and Québec Zone Class "A" members head to the polls this April

Alberta, Ontario, and Québec Zone Class “A” members will head to the polls this April to elect their nominee for the position of National Director on the PGA of Canada’s National Board.
"The national election process gives PGA of Canada Class “A” members in the Alberta, Ontario and Québec Zones every opportunity to become informed on the process and vote for the person they think would be an ideal fit for the National Board of Directors’," said PGA of Canada President Constant Priondolo.
PGA of Canada members looking to run for a national director seat in his or her respective zone should fill out an application form by CLICKING HERE.
Nominations for the elections shall be closed at 5 p.m. (EST) on Sunday March 20, 2016.
Once nominations close, candidates will have an opportunity to create individual profile pages—with bio information, videos, blogs and other information pertaining to the election—on the PGA of Canada's National Elections Web Portal.
Elections for national director seats in three zones take place once every three years.

Candidates' profiles and voting procedures will be provided in writing to the members of the relevant zone by Tuesday April 19, 2016. Voting will occur online, email, fax or mail ballot over a one-week period from April 20 thru April 27,2016.
Once voting has closed, all ballots shall be sent to an independent scrutineer appointed by the national board. The scrutineer shall complete a written report of the voting results, which shall be delivered to the CEO as soon after the closing of elections as is possible, and, in any event, no more than three business days following the closing of elections.

The newly elected national board members will be sworn in at this year’s Annual General Meeting on May 19 at Club de Golf La Vallée Du Richelieu.
