McCann Adds Birdie Shootout to Growing List of 2016 wins

BRAMPTON, ON - Turnberry Golf Club is truly one of the cities diamonds in the ruff.  The 3400 yard executive course in Brampton, ON is tailor made for the PGA of Ontario Birdie Shootout.  Players battle one another for eighteen holes and their share of the $5800 purse.  Every birdie is paid and only birdies or better count on the score card.
Brian McCann, last year's runner-up, landed at Turnberry Golf Club looking to take the title and mentioned after the round, "This event is great.  I struck the ball really well today and who doesn't love making birdies?"  The course was set up very difficult and by days end there were 65 birdies paid and Brian McCann had five of them, which was good enough for him to take the title he narrowly missed last year.  McCann edged the likes of, Michael Gascho (SturgeonPoint Golf Club) who finished one back, and Ron Kenesky (Twenty Valley Golf & CC), Joshua Growden (Kedron Dells Golf Club), and Steve Rodriguez (GolfTEC Markham) who all finished T3 with three birdies a piece.
