2015 Arthur Hulbert Memorial Championship a huge success

FOOT'S BAY, ON - The Hulbert Memorial Championship began in 1953 after the name sake Arthur Hulbert.  Arthur Hulbert was the Head Professional at Thornhill Golf & CC from 1924 until his sudden death in 1945.  The members of Thornhill and his fellow professionals banded together and held a Pro-Am to raise money to help his family, thus, gave birth to the Hulbert Memorial Fund.  The purpose of the Benevolent (Hulbert) Fund is to assist the families of Golf Professionals' in Ontario who struggle through illness, death, or other catastrophic occurrences.

With a brief hiatus in 2013 the Arthur Hulbert Memorial Championship was back in full swing in 2015 and it was bigger and better than ever.  Golf Professionals bring three amateurs for two days of an unforgettable Oviinbyrd golfing experience.  Club Car has always been a big supporter of the event and new partner to the PGA of Ontario, Galvin Green sweetened the experience by gifting all participants with a Galvin Green piece.

After a practice round on Sunday afternoon all players joined together to share in a gourmet plated meal and a silent auction.  After a great couple of days players and the PGA of Ontario managed to raise upwards of $13,000 for the Hulbert Memorial Fund.

The day is about more than just golf but Muskoka Bay Club managed to take the stableford tournament capping off an extremely successful couple of days.  Muskoka Bay Club led by Head Professional Teejay Alderdice, and team members Bary Gray, John Binnington, and Brian McInerney took the Club Car Arthur Hulbert Memorial Championship by 14 points.
