A back-nine to remember at the Senior Pro Junior Pro Team Series

RICHMOND HILL, ON - After starting the round at 1-under through seven holes the team of John White (Beechwood Golf & CC) and Mark Strugar (Legends on the Niagara GC) found their groove and went on a hot streak they won't soon forget.  The PGA of Ontario Senior Pro Junior Pro is a two-man scramble that consists of a Professional over fifty years of age and Professional under fifty years old.  They square off against some of the best players the PGA of Ontario has to offer and battle for one of the most competitive titles on the schedule.

After nine birdies and a pair of eagles the duo carded a 12-under 60, most impressively they were 11-under on their last eleven holes narrowly besting four teams at 11-under: Bill Mackenzie (The Academy at St. Andrews East) and John McCann (Fairtree Golf Centre), Chris Jones (Peterborough Golf & CC) and Mark Ahrens (Kawartha G & CC), Grant Holcomb (King Valley GC) and Joshua Doan (Rattlesnake Point GC), Ron Kenesky (Twenty Valley Golf & CC) and Gary Jeffrey (Golf Town Barrie).

John White was quick to give most of the credit to the smooth swinging Mark Strugar.  "Mark was hitting the ball great.  All day he was putting it close and we were hitting our spots which gave us a shot and once we got hot we just kept rolling.  I'm really happy to play so well and take home the victory."
